3rd Lefkadian Gastronomy Festival

On the 9^th and 10^th of July 2016, the 3^rd Lefkadian Gastronomy festival will take place on the island of Lefkada. The Festival aims to promote local products and local producers, focusing mainly on promotion through the Lefkadian Gastronomy. The Festival has the character of a wider celebration, during which the taste meets culture. The festivities will take place in Marka Square – a square in the historic center of Lefkada – characterized mainly by its culture.

During the festival you can also find:

A local products’ street market
Presentations of local Lefkadian dishes
Creation of new dishes with the use of local products

Kite Surfing
Vasiliki, with its reliable wind is ideal for kite surfing. The wind is mostly cross-shore and the water is deep beyond 20 meters from the beach, so it’s not great for beginners, but fine for strong intermediates and advanced riders. One drawback however, is the lack of kite hire companies and kite schools. If you want to kite surf here you need your own kite and you need to know what you’re doing.
